- Supply chain, manufacturing, operations and business leaders
The challenge
Awareness wasn't enough.
AI was moving quickly. Tools kept changing. People were unsure where to begin.
Leaders needed adoption, not just awareness. Teams needed practical examples, not another abstract AI conversation.
The talk
From theory to a next step.
- 01Common misconceptions about AI and new technology adoption
- 02The real-world challenges of development and deployment
- 03Why adoption requires people to interact with the technology
- 04How to start with one workflow or headache
- 05What stays human, what becomes AI-assisted and what can be automated
- 06A practical five-step plan for the next AI project
The impact
The ideas went back to work.
Nicholas Hanges
Nicholas took the “one task you dread” challenge to his Friday AI meeting of about 40 colleagues. He got a bunch of “heck yeahs” and asked people to bring back their dreaded tasks so they could tackle them together. The group is moving ahead, with tools from the people doing the work entering a shared tool depot.
“Just do a little something somewhere, don't overthink it.”
Mardaasa Addisu
Mardaasa identified the five-step plan as something he intended to use on company projects. He valued that the talk addressed the realities of implementation rather than staying hypothetical.
“It made it more practical, so you're not one side of the pendulum or the other.”
